Hi! Welcome to my dumpster.

My name is Cameron, and I’ve been active in the cybersecurity field for five years now. I got my start at my university’s security club OSUSEC, a nationally recognized team where I spent much of my free time hacking in CTF competitions, managing our lab infrastructure, and eventually serving as club president.

During that time, I also scored an internship at Mandiant (part of Google Cloud) as a technical intelligence analyst, where I developed a strong passion and aptitude for researching cybercrime. Now, I work as a lead security analyst for Oregon State University, protecting students and faculty from emerging threats, safeguarding our institutional data, and maturing our security operations.

I graduated summa cum laude from OSU in 2023 with a BS in computer science, focusing on cybersecurity, and a minor in mathematics, emphasizing number theory and cryptography. I love problem-solving and really enjoy delving deep into complex issues to uncover hidden stories, much like a detective. For my senior capstone, I worked in the ORTSOC, an experiential learning SOC that provided security operations to underserved and underfunded organizations throughout Oregon.

Outside of cybersecurity, I am a fairly proficient drummer. I play a wide range of genres with a variety of people, and I love anything that is heavy and loud. Some of my biggest influences are Mastodon, KGATLW, Acid Bath, Tool, Opeth, System of a Down, Foo Fighters, and Gojira. I’m also super passionate about films, especially independent or low-budget flicks, and I’m always in search of a new piece of art that I can connect to.
